
So what we've done with our bolt is this dashed arc is actually using, can you see here it's using a line type that is individual to the object rather than the layer. Remember if we go and look in the layer properties here our bolt it's a continuous line type. Because when we look here we can see that the hinge here is using a dashed line type on the hinge, hidden layer but over here on the bolt, this dashed arc is actually on the bolt layer so it should be continuous. What I'm going to do though is I'm going to cancel that and I'm going to close the layer properties manager. If I wanted to change that like in the previous video you'll notice we also have a dashed X two line type there as well. How do we find those? Well what we do is we jump into our layer properties here like so and you can see that our hinge hidden there is actually using a dashed line type.

Now we've got two different line types loaded up in our AutoCAD drawing. You've also got the bashed arc here representing the thread on the bolt as well. But when you've got dashed line types, like you have here for the hinge, there's that dashed line there. So for a continuous line, line type scale really doesn't apply. That's not an issue because it is a continuous line.


We're going to take a little look now at line type scale. We're staying in our objectlayerproperties.dwg file.
